WEEK 10

Transfers! I have a new companion and I am in a new area and I love BOTH!! I love the YSA ward so much, it's kinda refreshing to be with college students haha you all know what I'm talking about. I'm in the city now it's nice! Our apartment is right behind a big mall haha so there is only a road separating us from the mall entrance. Our apartment is so nice too!! Compared to my tiny last one, this one is wayyy nice and it has lots of storage. I really hope I'm here for a while!! My companion is the cherry on top. Her name is Sister Christensen and this is her very last transfer!! Kinda sad. She is from meridian Idaho which is cool! She played tennis and she said that I look familiar haha we've probably seen each other at a tennis tournament somewhere! We have been having so much fun and I am being pushed so much more now. I really like it tho!! I've been wanting to max out my days cuz I didn't feel like I was being pushed in my last area. But now it is "go go go" constantly and we hardly have break times and I LOVE IT. We taught more lessons and did more contacting in one day that I did in a full week in crossville. It is so great!! I feel very productive. Another super awesome part of this apartment is that there are tennis courts!!!!!! And our apartment has tennis balls and racquets! So sister C and I agreed that every Friday we will play tennis for our exercise! It is so much fun. She also runs, so we have been running outside everymorning (except Saturday cuz it snowed like 4 inches!).
It fun running where there is actually civilization haha. So basically, I really like this area and I love my companion!! We have so much in common haha just to name a few, we both have hitchhikers thumb, we were both raised in idaho, we both play tennis and both our family's make peppernuts for the holidays! We get along so well and we are always working hard and laughing. We did spring cleaning and got rid of so much stuff! We threw away 5 garbage sacks of stuff!
Oh I'm the driver now! It's actually kinda scary cuz the freeway traffic sucks here, and the side roads are so narrow but fast haha. I also already got and "aggressive driving" and it was only day 2... oops.
My companion and I got invited to go have dinner with President Graham on the 17th, so that's kinda scary. We have to update presidents Facebook profile (social media jobs haha) and so sister Graham invited us to have dinner too since we have to take a new pic for him anyways. Idk why, but that makes me nervous haha. But apparently when my companion told Bro Williams (a senior missionary who runs the social media stuff) that I was gonna be her companion, he said "ooo president Graham likes her". Uh oh what did I do๐Ÿ˜‚
Nothing too huge happened this week, but I am just amazed at how many converts there are in the YSA ward. More than I've ever met in my entire life! We had a big lesson with like 4 converts and their testimonies were so powerful. I felt so unqualified after talking with them because they have gone through so much and they are so strong in their beliefs. Moral of the story, share your testimony everywhere you go! It has so much power to change other people's lives. There are so many people out there that are seeking for what we have, they just don't know where to find it. And we have it!! God prepares people to hear the gospel and he puts them in our paths. So take every opportunity to share your testimony, because people have been waiting years to hear the message of the gospel, and it we don't open our mouths, they might have to wait even longer.

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

WEEK 6: Crossville, TN

This week flew by, which I guess is a good thing! To jump right into things, we are teaching quite a few people right now, and I can see 3 of them being baptized by the end of this transfer. I've been praying so hard about it, because I have developed such a strong love for them individually and I want them to progress and be baptized soooo badly. It's funny cuz you don't realize how much you love and cherish the gospel until you start teaching it to someone who doesn't know it. I really hope to see a baptism before the transfer ends because I care about these people so much.  Sister Jones and I have been working hard and we have found so many new people to teach! I've definitely changed a lot in a few weeks cuz I get genuinely excited to knock on someone's door, and I stand there hoping that they answer. I won't lie, the first week, I would feel a flood of relief if someone didn't answer their door๐Ÿ˜… so I've come a long way!  I also love visiting p...

Week 69

This week had a lot of highs, and the lowest of lows. So we will start with the highs! We had a mission wide devotional with Neil L Anderson in Knoxville! This is the 3rd and final time on my mission that we have gathered as an entire mission in one Chapel!! There is something really special about being the all the missionaries in the whole mission. But obviously the best part was meeting one of the 12 apostles, getting to shake his hand, and then getting spiritually fed by him for a few hours. I recivied so much revelation (almost to the point where it is overwhelming), so I'm just looking back at little segments of my notes at a time, or else I will not know where to start, so I won't start ๐Ÿ˜‚ so I'm doing one thing at a time. I wish I could summarize all the thought I had into one paragraph, but that would be impossible. But boy was it cool! Before the devotional while we were in Knoxville we went and visited claire!!! She is that cute little Filipino that I taught and b...
