week 14

Transfer calls!!!!! Quick story time, remember back to the first night i flew to Knoxville and I was having a super rough time feeling ignored by the other missionaries at the airport, and then i spent that night in the hotel with Sister Garbett and she made me feel so much better because she was so kind, caring and funny? And remember when I went on exchanges last transfer with Sister Williams and we had everything in common and I said it was the most fun day of my entire mission? Well..... IM GOING TO BE IN A TRIO WITH BOTH OF THEM!!!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳 I am so excited!!!! This is going to be a wild transfer 😆
On the other hand, it has been sad having to sister Christensen get ready to leave. We have had some really good times and she has taught me SO much about what it means to work HARD💪

OK so some pretty awesome stuff happened this week! We had an awesome lesson with shirly and joann and the spirit totally hijacked the lesson. We were going to teach plan of salvation, but then when I started talking, I taught the 3rd lesson instead (the gospel of jesus christ). I didn't mean to, but that's what started coming out of my mouth, so I went with it! It was a powerful lesson and I even extended a baptismal invitation! Sister Christensen's was got wide cuz she didn't see it coming, but I did it so smoothly (well, it was the spirit not me. I was just moving my mouth). It was such a cool lesson.
We also had Chris's baptism on Saturday!!! I'll attach some pics from that, but it was sooo awesome! Chris is the funniest man ever. He was 10 minutes late to his baptism, and he was 10 minutes late to his confirmation hahaha it was stressful. But the baptism was so awesome and the sprit was strong! I'm so glad I got to be here for that!
Another thing.... a girl in the YSA named Sam came up to me at church and asked me if I was staying in the area for another transfer, And when I said yes, she asked if I would go with her to the temple!!!!!!! My heart rate literally shot up, I got so excited!!! She is going to get endowed, and she wanted my to come with her!! So I'll get to go to the temple on the 23rd of this month WHOO HOOOO!!!!! This is the only way I get to go to the temple on my mission is if someone we are teaching goes, or if someone in our ward invites us to go with them for their first time. IM SO HAPPY!

My mission so far has been so amazing. Everyone back at home, or whoever reads this, think of one person you know that could use this gospel, and talk to your local missionaries, and refer them to your friend. Even if the person you are thinking of is in another state, the missionaries can send the info to the missionaries that are near them. You will see miracles from this!

Well, that was the majority of my week! I'm slowly learning how to juggle serving in 2 wards, and run ads for the mission, and go to all the YSA activities, SMS meetings, and run 2 wards. It's like serving 2 missions at once. It's a lot and it's really stressful at times, but it's pushing me and I love it!

Week 40

Not a lot happened this week, but it was supposed to be transfers, except for that I'm staying!! Side note, Sister Garbett's new companion (named sister Phillips) is SO awesome!! We actually have a lot in common and we have mutual friends from BYU and high school! Our little sisters are also so similar which is crazy, we both pulled up a picture and their outfits were almost the same hahaha.  But anyways, here are some cool things that I learned this week: --> Always always always follow promptings (if it's a good prompting, cuz if it's good, it's from God). Promptings are gateways for God to work miracles in our lives, but we have to act first. I'm still working on that, but I've seen it give me so much more confidence in the work I'm doing cuz I know that I'm not doing it alone:) --> Make friends and don't be afraid to share the gospel. When friendship comes first, sharing the gospel is a lot easier. That's one downfall with missionar...

Week 66

Hello everyone!! Happy late Easter! I hope everyone had an amazing Sunday, cuz I sure did!! Holidays on the mission are a little hard (for me at least), but this one was actually pretty good! The church service was amazing and it was PACKED. I felt like I was back in a Utah ward because there were so many people! Here are some reasons it was a great easter: Some friends we are teaching came to church! Donna who is a somewhat lonely older lady came and wore one of sister chan's dresses and she cried during the service and even sang one of the songs, which was huge. Donna is going through a lot right now, but I think she felt a moment of peace when she was at church.  Afterwards we went to the Gildays (a member that I'm close with ) to have lunch and a little scripture study. Isabel was there and that was fun hehe her and I are crazy. I don't know if I've "introduced" Isabel, but she is 19 and was just baptized in January. She moved here and almost i...

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...
