WEEK 9

This week was SO fast. Time literally is so weird on the mission.
On pday last week we went to ozone falls with the district which was so much fun! I love this district so much and I'm going to miss them! Today is my last pday with the most legendary district ever, so we are going to pack today full of fun stuff.
Well, I'm getting transferred.... I'm so sad and actually pretty scared haha. I am going to be serving in a Young Single Adult ward in bearsden. But the scary part is that I am going to be in a district with the APs and I'm going to be the social media specialist!! Nooooo!!!!!!!! This means that i have to get instagram (😭) and i have to teach everyone how to better use social media. I barely know how to view my profile on Facebook, and now I'm gonna be training the mission how to use social media... this will be really interesting considering that I have never had social media my entire life. Oh boy. Idk what president Graham was thinking, social media is not my jam.

We had a super good lesson with ben, and he came to church!!!!!  In the lessons we talked about temples and how peaceful they are. He said he WILL be baptized this year, he just doesn't know exactly when cuz he is going thru a lot. The coolest part about that lesson was that I said some WAY awesome stuff that I never would have thought to say. It's was 100% the holy ghost putting words into my mouth because the things that I was saying were making him cry and after the lesson, I couldn't remember what I said. Everything about the lesson was so powerful. That was probably the coolest thing about this week.

Oh I also felt like a 10 year old on thursday cuz I wasnt wearing mascara and my hair was in French braids, but then this lady we were talking to grabbed my arm and said that I needed to model when I got home from my mission  HAHA. It was really funny and I just laughed and she was like "no I'm being serious, you are gorgeous"πŸ˜‚ it was nice to get a compliment, but I won't be modeling πŸ˜‚
Sunday morning I was getting ready for church in the bathroom and I heard someone on the other side of the wall breathing/moaning really loudly. I just ignored it then I heard a guy yelling "help, someone please help!!" He was yelling so loudly, and me being me, I knocked on the wall and said "do you need help?"πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦‍♀️🀦‍♀️ he just kept yelling, so my companion and I ran out of our apartment and walked into his and he was an older big guy that had fallen in between his fridge and table. He couldn't move, so I shimmied his walker out from under him and then used all my strength to rotate him onto his back, then pull him into sitting position. He was a big guy, so there was no way we could help him stand, so we got him his phone, then proceeded to get ready for churchπŸ˜‚ it was quite the morning haha but I'm so glad that we were home to help him.

Well that was my week! I am really sad to leave to leave Crossville. Antoinette, Ben, and Dustin are close to baptism and they have come such a long was since I've been here. But I trust sister jones and the new missionary she will be training to take good care of the people.
Oh and the random pic of my comp haha she lost the magnet to her tag, so i got creative to make sure people could still see her tagπŸ˜‚
And there's a pic of a little gas station we went to haha

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

WEEK 6: Crossville, TN

This week flew by, which I guess is a good thing! To jump right into things, we are teaching quite a few people right now, and I can see 3 of them being baptized by the end of this transfer. I've been praying so hard about it, because I have developed such a strong love for them individually and I want them to progress and be baptized soooo badly. It's funny cuz you don't realize how much you love and cherish the gospel until you start teaching it to someone who doesn't know it. I really hope to see a baptism before the transfer ends because I care about these people so much.  Sister Jones and I have been working hard and we have found so many new people to teach! I've definitely changed a lot in a few weeks cuz I get genuinely excited to knock on someone's door, and I stand there hoping that they answer. I won't lie, the first week, I would feel a flood of relief if someone didn't answer their doorπŸ˜… so I've come a long way!  I also love visiting p...

Week 69

This week had a lot of highs, and the lowest of lows. So we will start with the highs! We had a mission wide devotional with Neil L Anderson in Knoxville! This is the 3rd and final time on my mission that we have gathered as an entire mission in one Chapel!! There is something really special about being the all the missionaries in the whole mission. But obviously the best part was meeting one of the 12 apostles, getting to shake his hand, and then getting spiritually fed by him for a few hours. I recivied so much revelation (almost to the point where it is overwhelming), so I'm just looking back at little segments of my notes at a time, or else I will not know where to start, so I won't start πŸ˜‚ so I'm doing one thing at a time. I wish I could summarize all the thought I had into one paragraph, but that would be impossible. But boy was it cool! Before the devotional while we were in Knoxville we went and visited claire!!! She is that cute little Filipino that I taught and b...
