Week 24

Not gonna lie, this week was a long one😪 not for any specific reason, the time just didn't want to pass by quick. This also sounds backwards, but I want to be worked so hard that I pass out every night, cuz right now I feel like I'm floating day by day, and I want to feel like I'm climbing day by day. I'd rather lose a hard competetive tennis match than win an easy one. So I'm trying to spice up this area, but so far the spice isn't cookin🫤 But we did have many small miracles that happened! We found quite a few new people to teach, and Michael came to church again on Sunday!!! We are going to invite him to be baptized when we visit with this week, so prayers would be much appreciated for Michael and his readiness for baptism😁.
I also had to deadlift a 250lb man off the ground cuz he fell and we were the only ones there to help.
Side note: this humidity is NO JOKE... we wake up in the mornings and the back doors look like shower doors. I'll attach a picture lol. It's dreadful. I've never sweat so much in my life, I feel like those middle school teenage boys in PE, it's terrible. The hot humid air literally takes away my breath when I step outside. So basically I am counting down the days till fall!
There is so much potential in this area, and I can see it with everyone that I talk to. I can tell that the shell is about to crack, and the work that needs to be done will multiply by a ton. I am so excited for when that is gonna happen, and I hope it happens soon!

Week 69

This week had a lot of highs, and the lowest of lows. So we will start with the highs! We had a mission wide devotional with Neil L Anderson in Knoxville! This is the 3rd and final time on my mission that we have gathered as an entire mission in one Chapel!! There is something really special about being the all the missionaries in the whole mission. But obviously the best part was meeting one of the 12 apostles, getting to shake his hand, and then getting spiritually fed by him for a few hours. I recivied so much revelation (almost to the point where it is overwhelming), so I'm just looking back at little segments of my notes at a time, or else I will not know where to start, so I won't start 😂 so I'm doing one thing at a time. I wish I could summarize all the thought I had into one paragraph, but that would be impossible. But boy was it cool! Before the devotional while we were in Knoxville we went and visited claire!!! She is that cute little Filipino that I taught and b...

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

Week 17

This has actually been a pretty awesome week! Miracles have definitely happened. One of the things that was the highlight, was that we were able to get our friend Claire on date to be baptized! Claire is the sweetest human ever. She is from the phillipines and was super curious about our church after the missionaries accidentally called her when they were given the wrong number by someone else. It has been so cool teaching her because when we first started teaching her, you could tell that there was a lot of confusion in her life and she was missing something. The more we taught her about the restored gospel, the more she got curious and excited to learn more. It was SO cool to witness that! She is doing so much studying on her own, and that has made her progression so much quicker. I love her soooo much!! On the flip side, I got so so so sick on tuesday and wednesday. Tuesday it was bad, I was struggling to breath on the couch during a zoom and I felt like garbage, so my comps said i ...
