Week 32

Lots of random stuff happened this week, one of them being, I am in a trio now!! It's temporary and it's only for 2 weeks, but I realized how much I missed being in a trio! There was a sister who went home, so her companion is with us now! And we are also working her area as well, so now we are over 3 areas and SMS😅 and the new area is 30 minutes away. So it has been really interesting to see this all work out, but it's fun! We will work like half the day in Farragut and Pellissippi, then we'll make the drive to Loudon and work there for a few hours before coming home. It's pretty fun! The new Sister is names Sister Jones and boy did I need her. She has lifted my spirit so much! Also, I have very good news!! THE WEATHER IS COOLING DOWN!!!! I can not express how happy this makes me🥳
As for the people we have been teaching, Stephanie and guang are AWESOME as always. They are making steady progress towards having a relationship with God.
The 2 awesome twins we were teaching moved to Michigan 😭 but they came to institute on Thursday, so I had an excuse to go to institute again!!!! I haven't gone to institute since I was in the YSA, so I was sooo excited. When we pulled in the parking lot, I SAW CHRIS!! So I jumped out of the car to go say hi. I missed that guy. For those who don't remember, Chris was the guy we baptized my 2nd Transfer. I was in heaven being with all the YSA again, I miss them so much. Chris came up to me and was so proud to show me that he still had the Bearden missionaries's phone number saved as "Rozlyn".😂😂 I told him to never change it haha. It was so much fun seeing everyone, but then on the drive home I got really sad and had this empty feeling cuz I wanted to be back in Bearden so bad. But it's all good cuz there are awesome people in Farragut and Pellissippi too!
Sunday we had a TON of meetings, so we were at the church for 6 hours. And it was ward conference.
Something that I am working on this week is learning to recognize the spirit. This has been my goal for a while, but I have been struggling with learning to trust the spirit more than my own judgment. The gift of the holy ghost that we get at baptism is so amazing. I've seen this gift more fully on my mission, and I realize how much more we all should be relying on it. There's a quote from Boyd k Packer that says "No member of this Church—and that means each of you—will ever make a serious mistake without first being warned by the promptings of the Holy Ghost". I thought that was pretty cool:)
I hope everyone is doing well!
(I apologize fir not having many photos haha the only pics I took this week was of cars😅)

Week 73

Wow this was a fast week... It's getting real yall. It was a really good week tho! Zone Conference! My very last zone conference😢 I gave my departing testimony and it was weird to be on that side of it because my whole mission I've been watching other missionaries give their departing testimonies and now all of a sudden it was me! But it was a really spiritual experience and I loved it. The rest of this week was super duper good! Lots of small miracles that lifted my spirits. We are finding quite a few new people to teach and I'm actually really excited about them! There was this one guy we talked to on his porch in passing, and we invited him to church, but then the phone number he gave us didn't work. BUT he showed up to church 6 days later!! I gave a talk in sacrament and after the meeting he asked if he could have a book of mormon 😱 his name is James and he is so cool!! We also prayed really hard on Friday that we could plant a lot of seeds...

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

WEEK 6: Crossville, TN

This week flew by, which I guess is a good thing! To jump right into things, we are teaching quite a few people right now, and I can see 3 of them being baptized by the end of this transfer. I've been praying so hard about it, because I have developed such a strong love for them individually and I want them to progress and be baptized soooo badly. It's funny cuz you don't realize how much you love and cherish the gospel until you start teaching it to someone who doesn't know it. I really hope to see a baptism before the transfer ends because I care about these people so much.  Sister Jones and I have been working hard and we have found so many new people to teach! I've definitely changed a lot in a few weeks cuz I get genuinely excited to knock on someone's door, and I stand there hoping that they answer. I won't lie, the first week, I would feel a flood of relief if someone didn't answer their door😅 so I've come a long way!  I also love visiting p...
