Week 32

Lots of random stuff happened this week, one of them being, I am in a trio now!! It's temporary and it's only for 2 weeks, but I realized how much I missed being in a trio! There was a sister who went home, so her companion is with us now! And we are also working her area as well, so now we are over 3 areas and SMSπŸ˜… and the new area is 30 minutes away. So it has been really interesting to see this all work out, but it's fun! We will work like half the day in Farragut and Pellissippi, then we'll make the drive to Loudon and work there for a few hours before coming home. It's pretty fun! The new Sister is names Sister Jones and boy did I need her. She has lifted my spirit so much! Also, I have very good news!! THE WEATHER IS COOLING DOWN!!!! I can not express how happy this makes meπŸ₯³
As for the people we have been teaching, Stephanie and guang are AWESOME as always. They are making steady progress towards having a relationship with God.
The 2 awesome twins we were teaching moved to Michigan 😭 but they came to institute on Thursday, so I had an excuse to go to institute again!!!! I haven't gone to institute since I was in the YSA, so I was sooo excited. When we pulled in the parking lot, I SAW CHRIS!! So I jumped out of the car to go say hi. I missed that guy. For those who don't remember, Chris was the guy we baptized my 2nd Transfer. I was in heaven being with all the YSA again, I miss them so much. Chris came up to me and was so proud to show me that he still had the Bearden missionaries's phone number saved as "Rozlyn".πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I told him to never change it haha. It was so much fun seeing everyone, but then on the drive home I got really sad and had this empty feeling cuz I wanted to be back in Bearden so bad. But it's all good cuz there are awesome people in Farragut and Pellissippi too!
Sunday we had a TON of meetings, so we were at the church for 6 hours. And it was ward conference.
Something that I am working on this week is learning to recognize the spirit. This has been my goal for a while, but I have been struggling with learning to trust the spirit more than my own judgment. The gift of the holy ghost that we get at baptism is so amazing. I've seen this gift more fully on my mission, and I realize how much more we all should be relying on it. There's a quote from Boyd k Packer that says "No member of this Church—and that means each of you—will ever make a serious mistake without first being warned by the promptings of the Holy Ghost". I thought that was pretty cool:)
I hope everyone is doing well!
(I apologize fir not having many photos haha the only pics I took this week was of carsπŸ˜…)

Week 58

WOW THIS WEEK WAS AWESOME!! I love my new companion, and I love my new area, I love my new ward, I love my new (super fancy) apartment, I love EVERYTHING!!! I had so many highlights this week, so I'll just start listing them out in no specific order. I got to go to the Temple!!!!!!! πŸ˜†πŸ€‘πŸ₯³ Yall it's bee  SO long and it was the best feeling walking into the teeny tiny Nashville temple. It was the best feeling of "coming home". I BEG yall to not take the temple for granted. I will be spending all my free time there whenever I can. We went with a sweet lady named Shannon Adam's who was baptized recently with her kids. It was her first time going to the temple and we got to all do baptisms. She was so nervous and when we pulled up into the parking lot she showed me her shaking hands and said "I am so excited, but so nervous!" It was the sweetest thing ever. She enjoyed every second of it! I have only known her for a few days, but I already feel s...

Week 41

Hello everyone! another week down! Here are some cool things that happened this week: We went to go visit a lady named Kylene and she was really confused who we were, but after a while, it all of a sudden clicked and she just lit up saying how excited she was to come to church again! Apparently her grandma who passed away like 20 years ago was a member of the church and she used to go with her all the time! So everyone please pray for Kylene that she can feel welcomed and have a desire to learn and be baptized. She was so awesome and she has so much potential! So THANK YOU to all y'all who prayed for finding miracles, cuz it is working!!!  On Saturday we went to a fall festival in soddy daisy and there was this really nice guy working at a booth who bought us a funnel cake! He was so cool! Walking around all the markets and booths/tents, we got a lot of weird looks and we even had one guy call us nuns πŸ˜‚ I said "almost, haha, we are missionaries!" That was my 3rd time be...

Week 64

Well sister Oldroyd is shipped off to Chattanooga πŸ˜₯ BUT I love my new companion, sister Chan! I'm glad I get to serve with her and we are having so much fun! This week it was really a struggle to get return appointments with the people we are teaching and holy moly, it is a never ending battle and it makes me want to lose my mind sometimes. I love these people so so much, but I get really tired if spending time trying to chase them down to have a lessonπŸ˜‚I just want to consistently teach someone, BUT it's not about what I want, it's about how God wants to use me as his hands. And I guess right now he is needing me to do a LOT of seed planting. After a long week of seed planting, I am eager to pick fruit, but unfortunately it takes a lot of time. The beginning of the week consisted of going around and saying goodbye to people since sister Oldroyd is leaving. So we took a lot of pics with members and friends. I'm glad I'm not the one leaving because I am getting kind...
