Week 35

Wow what a week! It went by sooo fast which I guess is a good thing! The days were long but the week flew by.
So this week has been a week of people dropping us. Most of our progressing people we had to stop teaching because they basically told us they aren't interested or they aren't willing to change. It's really hard because now we are in a teaching drought and each day is a completely empty day that we try to fill meaningfully. So prayers to help us find new people to teach would be greatly appreciated!

The elders had a baptism and I got to go to to that which was really refreshing and re-motivated me. Not teaching any lessons in a day can get really discouraging and it's hard not to compare yourself to other missionaries or other areas. But for now I pray, work hard, and expect miracles!

On Tuesday I had dinner with Katherine Hunter!! (Hobbes now haha). She lived in Caldwell with us in the same ward and close to our house! She said she remembers babysitting me too haha! So that was super fun to have a little piece of idahome:) her dog is soooo funny and she was scared of me because I blew in her face, so she wouldn't come near me๐Ÿ˜‚

I went on exchanged on Wednesday and I got to spend the day in Georgia! So now I can say I've been to Georgia haha. I went with Sister Wiser, and she is awesome!! I really hope I get to be her companion eventually ๐Ÿ™ we went to this ladys house and she had this tiny shih tzu who's tounge was always hanging out and I loved the dang thing๐Ÿ˜‚ she just wanted me to scratch her the whole time, so I happily did! The lady also showed me a shirt that she just got that says "I shih tzu not" lol.
One more animal story, we pulled up at the trailer park and when I opened my door, this little cat jumped right in at my feet and wouldnt get out. Sister Kirkman picked it up (cuz I don't like cats) then when I got out of the car, I went to close the door and the cat jumped up into my seat and laid down haha it wouldn't move. Thank goodness I have a comp that doesn't mind touching cats and killing bugs (we still have a lot of bugs in our apartment ๐Ÿ˜ฌ)
As for my comp and I, we are still loving being together! She is awesome and we have a lot of fun:)
That was my week this week! Nothing too crazy, but hopefully this week crazy things happen cuz we need miracles in Hixson! I love you all and thank you for all the prayers and support!❤️
this Random lady saw we were the missionaries and purchased our bath and body works stuff!

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

WEEK 6: Crossville, TN

This week flew by, which I guess is a good thing! To jump right into things, we are teaching quite a few people right now, and I can see 3 of them being baptized by the end of this transfer. I've been praying so hard about it, because I have developed such a strong love for them individually and I want them to progress and be baptized soooo badly. It's funny cuz you don't realize how much you love and cherish the gospel until you start teaching it to someone who doesn't know it. I really hope to see a baptism before the transfer ends because I care about these people so much.  Sister Jones and I have been working hard and we have found so many new people to teach! I've definitely changed a lot in a few weeks cuz I get genuinely excited to knock on someone's door, and I stand there hoping that they answer. I won't lie, the first week, I would feel a flood of relief if someone didn't answer their door๐Ÿ˜… so I've come a long way!  I also love visiting p...

Week 28

This week was a wild one! We had transfers, 2 baptisms on sunday, and we went to a non denominational rock band church.  My new companion is Sister Goodman and she is AWESOME!! She has taught me what it really means to work hard!๐Ÿ’ช I am thriving with her and I hope we get more than one transfer together!! Two cute kids named Madelyn and Landon were baptized on Sunday! They have been being taught for a while now and it was such a cute baptism!  We did a church song with one of our friends named mary, and so we got to go to her non-denominational church service! It was very different! I've never experienced anything quite like it, but it's cool to now understand what other people are talking about when they talk about their rock band churches ๐Ÿฅณ let's just say I had a headache for a few hours afterwards haha. Other than that, this week was a busy one full of teaching and planning! We are making a lot of progress with SMS and running the social media pages. It's a lot of w...
