Week 37

Week 37
This week FLEW! I can't believe it's already Monday!! Here are some highlights from this week:
Zone conference! Fun as always, and good to see everyone! Being around other missionaries always hypes me up. I also got to see Elder and Sister Williams again๐Ÿ˜❤️
We have a mission wide devotional on Sunday!!! This is the first time ever that the ENTIRE mission has all gathered at one place and at same time!!! And this will probably be the last time it happens too! So I got to go back to Farragut/Pellissippi!! Aaaaaaand I got to see Elder Williams AGAIN!! Ah it makes me so happy!! It was way cool to be in a room with the entire mission. The spirit was so strong, I LOVE THE TKM ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”ฅ There was about 170 missionaries there and at the end of the meeting we all sang the mission song (it's also the efy medley, it's As Sister's In Zion and We'll Bring The World His Truth) and WOW it was booming and at the end of the song everyone was in tears including president. I feel so lucky to have been able to experience this, cuz there is NOTHING that has come close to the feeling that was in that room as 170 set apart missionaries all stood to sing. It almost felt like Christ was just going to walk in and take a seat next to President Graham and smile at all of us. Man, it was incredible
Something else that happened was we put our friend Krista on date to be baptized and she is SO excited for baptism and won't stop talking about it haha it is so cute. She said she can't wait to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints:) buuuut sadly we got a text on Sunday and she said that she moved like 10 minutes down the road, but since she originally lived right by the border of our area, she is no longer in our area ๐Ÿ˜ญ that made us mega sad and we are really worried that this will effect her baptism... But it will all work out! Keep Krista in your prayers!

We called this random lady who had contact with missionaries in the past a long time ago and she talked to us on the phone for 56 minutes๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I love southerners.. Mind you, we didn't talk at all.. she did all the talking, we may be said 2 sentences the whole time. Sister kirkman and I took turns listening and saying "oh", "mmhmm", "that's crazy", "wow", "yeah" and so on so forth while the other person ate some food๐Ÿ˜‚ then we'd switch๐Ÿ˜‚ we invited her to church and she said she'd bring her friend with her, but then she didn't come ๐Ÿ˜‘ but I still love her!

Eye update from last week: my eye is still red but it's much better! No pain, no headache, and my vision is normal! So that's good!!
I love you all so much!!! Thank you for everything and all the prayers ๐Ÿค— JESUS LOVES YOU!!!

Week 69

This week had a lot of highs, and the lowest of lows. So we will start with the highs! We had a mission wide devotional with Neil L Anderson in Knoxville! This is the 3rd and final time on my mission that we have gathered as an entire mission in one Chapel!! There is something really special about being the all the missionaries in the whole mission. But obviously the best part was meeting one of the 12 apostles, getting to shake his hand, and then getting spiritually fed by him for a few hours. I recivied so much revelation (almost to the point where it is overwhelming), so I'm just looking back at little segments of my notes at a time, or else I will not know where to start, so I won't start ๐Ÿ˜‚ so I'm doing one thing at a time. I wish I could summarize all the thought I had into one paragraph, but that would be impossible. But boy was it cool! Before the devotional while we were in Knoxville we went and visited claire!!! She is that cute little Filipino that I taught and b...

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

Week 17

This has actually been a pretty awesome week! Miracles have definitely happened. One of the things that was the highlight, was that we were able to get our friend Claire on date to be baptized! Claire is the sweetest human ever. She is from the phillipines and was super curious about our church after the missionaries accidentally called her when they were given the wrong number by someone else. It has been so cool teaching her because when we first started teaching her, you could tell that there was a lot of confusion in her life and she was missing something. The more we taught her about the restored gospel, the more she got curious and excited to learn more. It was SO cool to witness that! She is doing so much studying on her own, and that has made her progression so much quicker. I love her soooo much!! On the flip side, I got so so so sick on tuesday and wednesday. Tuesday it was bad, I was struggling to breath on the couch during a zoom and I felt like garbage, so my comps said i ...
