Week 46

Transfersss!!! My new companion is Sister Booth, and let me tell ya... This transfer is going to be 🔥FIRE🥳. STL stuff is a little interesting, but I like it so far! Our meeting went till 11:45 the other night, so I'm gonna be so tired this transfer😂 but the blessings are worth it!! Sister Booth is so smart and experienced, I am excited to learn from her. She also has the best sense of humor which makes the work so much more fun. President Graham spoiled me by letting her be my companion. My last few days of the transfer (monday-wednesday) were a little odd and were definitely not the greatest. The vibes were off and I didn't have the spirit with me, so that was hard. But now things are GREAT and I am already seeing miracles 5 days into the new transfer!  Oh and at transfers, I got to see Elder Williams again😁😁 I love that man with everything in me. I'll attach some selfies:) I'm officially not in the same district as sister garbett for the first time s...

Week 45

Wow it got cold this week. I forgot how brutal cold humidity is and it only got down to 50😂  First off, we had transfer calls!! I will be staying in Hixson (for the 3rd time!) and I'm an STL now too!! I'm so excited about everything! My new companion is named Sister Booth and this will be her last transfer. I haven't met her yet, but I will on Wednesday when we have transfers. I'm so excited!!! I'm excited to go on exchanges with other sisters every week!  Sad news.... I won't be with sister garbett anymore...😭😔🥺😥😫😓 This will be the first time since April that I won't be serving with her.... I don't even remember what it's like to be a missionary without her, but it sure sounds a lot less exciting, so I really hope I can quickly bond with the new missionaries. Of our entire district, only elder bluemel and I are staying. And out of the 4 sisters missionaries in the Hixson ward, I'm the only one staying😭. We are getting elders to replace s...

Week 44

Heyyo! We have 3 people on date to be baptized! I have had a baptism in over a transfer, so this is pretty exciting! Here's a little run down of our current friends: Wilow! She is so awesome and I have grown to love her. Each time we come to visit with her and her family it starts off really quiet, but by the time we leave they are all so talkative and laughing, it's hard to leave! Katelyn! We have been visiting Katelyn every single Sunday and we have built a really good relationship with her:) she doesn't leave the house much and she said that we are her only friends and she always looks forward to our Sunday visits:) she also said that she wants us to stay in contact after our missions. She has been through a lot in the past few years, and it's cool to just listen to her experiences and stories. I also finally got a selfie with her after 3 months of meeting with her haha. She's the gal with the red hair. I'm gonna miss Katelyn when I leave this area.  ...

Week 43

Week 43: This week was full of a lot of random occurrences 😂 we did so much service this again week, but we got scammed by a lady in Ohio... She works for an insurance restoration company and long story short, she used us so she didn't have to pay landscapers for one of her projects, and it took us 8 hours. She said we weren't allowed to say we were from the church and to not wear our tags, and if any one asked, we should say we were from a landscaping company... It was so bad. And after 6 hours of backbreaking work (my back has never hurt so bad), the homeowner pulls up and starts complaining about what she doesn't like. Not cool... We were absolutely exhausted and pretty frustrated, and when we got home to finally rest for a second, our entire apartment reeked of weed. Like bad. It gave me a headache, but there wasn't anything we could have done about it. But we survived!  On a more positive note, we went to the Stewart-Walls house on Friday to carve pumpkins and hav...

Week 42

Another week done✅ Here's a little summary of the week: I don't know if I've talked about Wilow very much, but she is a super sweet girl who we have been teaching for my whole time here with no progress (at least that we saw outwardly). She has been taught since 2018 and her brother got baptized, but every time we brought up baptism with her it usually got awkward or you could tell she was uninterested. So we decided to just watch a conference talk with their family and her instead of trying to teach a lesson. We watched "I love to see the temple" by Henry B Eyring and afterwards we were talking about the temple and randomly Wilow blurts, "I've been thinking a lot about baptism. Can I be baptized now?" Bruh my eyes went so wide cuz it caught me off guard. I was STUNNED. Y'all don't understand how much I love this girl even tho she has been slow to progress. It made my heart so happy and I am excited for this baptism!!  We also had a really go...
