Week 50

This week was awesome!! So many unexpected things happened, but I enjoyed every second of it! This week I had 5 companions πŸ˜† sister booth, sister walker, sister palmer, sister Merritt, and sister seegrist! We went on exchanges with the Sister APs on Wednesday and that was honestly soooo stressful, but I survived! Sister booth and I both stayed in hixson, so that means we had to double plan the day. It was a lot, but there were lots of Miracles that happened because of it! There was one family that we went to who are" do not contacts" but we went over anyways and the lady let us right in and we started talking and she said that I'm welcome to come with them to nursing homes and Play The Cello with them! She plays the cello with her son and they have many very nice cellos! Hopefully I get to do that because it sounds so fun!
On Wednesday I went on an exchange with sister Palmer. It was fun and there was a lot of learning and a lot of teaching! I love exchanges but they can be stressful sometimes because I sometimes feel like I'm the one that needs to learn the most. Then on Friday we drove to Knoxville because President was taking all the departing missionaries to the temple (my comp). So while my companion was at the temple, I spent the day in BEARDEN!!!!!!!!!!! AND I GOT TO SEE CLAIRE!!!!!!! This was probably one of the top 3 happiest moments of my mission ☺️ we didn't tell her I was coming, so it was a complete surprise to her. When she answered the door, she was shocked, and then she started jumping up and down, screaming, hugging me, and screaming some moreπŸ˜† it was soooooo cute, I love her so much!! Some background on claire: when I was in Bearden I taught and baptized her and we got super duper close. Man this was the peak of my existence. while I was in Bearden I got to help with some ads which was so awesome. I miss the SMS team so much.
Also there was an ET (emergency transfer) so now we are in a trio! Sister Seegrist joined sister booth and I. It is a PARTY. Like soooooo much fun. It's like a sleepover every night, we jam in the car, talk deep at night, and just vibe all day. This is the most unified I've ever felt with companions. It's so great and i get a pit in my stomach when I think about this transfer ending.
Then today: pday!!!! We went to the church and our epic district leader (elder Hopkins) made us breakfast burritos and then we met up with the Dayton elders and went to the aquarium!!!!!! It was way too expensive, but so worth it. I love my district.
Out friends that we are teaching right now are struggling, so please continue to pray for them. Hixson needs miracles! Thank you for all the prays as well because I am having the time of my life, and sister booth was definitely the answer to all the prayers that have been sent this way. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

WEEK 6: Crossville, TN

This week flew by, which I guess is a good thing! To jump right into things, we are teaching quite a few people right now, and I can see 3 of them being baptized by the end of this transfer. I've been praying so hard about it, because I have developed such a strong love for them individually and I want them to progress and be baptized soooo badly. It's funny cuz you don't realize how much you love and cherish the gospel until you start teaching it to someone who doesn't know it. I really hope to see a baptism before the transfer ends because I care about these people so much.  Sister Jones and I have been working hard and we have found so many new people to teach! I've definitely changed a lot in a few weeks cuz I get genuinely excited to knock on someone's door, and I stand there hoping that they answer. I won't lie, the first week, I would feel a flood of relief if someone didn't answer their doorπŸ˜… so I've come a long way!  I also love visiting p...

Week 69

This week had a lot of highs, and the lowest of lows. So we will start with the highs! We had a mission wide devotional with Neil L Anderson in Knoxville! This is the 3rd and final time on my mission that we have gathered as an entire mission in one Chapel!! There is something really special about being the all the missionaries in the whole mission. But obviously the best part was meeting one of the 12 apostles, getting to shake his hand, and then getting spiritually fed by him for a few hours. I recivied so much revelation (almost to the point where it is overwhelming), so I'm just looking back at little segments of my notes at a time, or else I will not know where to start, so I won't start πŸ˜‚ so I'm doing one thing at a time. I wish I could summarize all the thought I had into one paragraph, but that would be impossible. But boy was it cool! Before the devotional while we were in Knoxville we went and visited claire!!! She is that cute little Filipino that I taught and b...
