Week 52

Transfers😔 rip to the legend sister booth🙏⚰️💀💐 that was hands down the saddest transfer day of my entire mission. I did NOT want to leave her🥺 this past transfer had been so much fun, I've never had a transfer where I looked forward to every. single. day. Sister Booth is the type of missionary that I aspire to be!! I miss her tons🥺 I'm no longer in a trio, so now I have fomo, buts it's ok , I'll survive haha.
BUT my new companion is amazing!! Her name is sister Stevens and she is from bountiful Utah and she is approaching the end of her mission in the next few months. She is the definition of a hard worker and there have already been so many miracles from it.
We went knocking doors one day (which is usually never successful) and we had a prompting to go to this really nice huge neighborhood. Usually we like going to the sketchy trailer parks, but for some reason we felt to go to the opposite. We met Chase and Hailey who didn't grow up religious but were super willing to have us back, and even asked for a copy of the Book of Mormon, Nick just moved here and is looking for a church, Amanda and Maurice were very open to a message about Christ and said we could come over any day, and Christian and Sarah who recently moved here with their 3 kids and said they can always make time for God. It was crazy!! It was super reviving to find new people to teach cuz I was getting pretty burned out being in the same area for this long. Definitely a tender mercy!
Im just so excited to not only see the miracles that god is going to work in the next few weeks, but be a part of them! It's really special getting to watch people slowly comprehend the gospel and the restoration. The thing that I've come to realize is the urgency of sharing the gospel. Sometimes YOU are the only chance that someone else will get to hear the gospel in this life. That is a huge responsibility, so prove to God that he can trust you enough to send people your way that need to hear about the true restored church. We are God's hands!!! 💪

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

WEEK 6: Crossville, TN

This week flew by, which I guess is a good thing! To jump right into things, we are teaching quite a few people right now, and I can see 3 of them being baptized by the end of this transfer. I've been praying so hard about it, because I have developed such a strong love for them individually and I want them to progress and be baptized soooo badly. It's funny cuz you don't realize how much you love and cherish the gospel until you start teaching it to someone who doesn't know it. I really hope to see a baptism before the transfer ends because I care about these people so much.  Sister Jones and I have been working hard and we have found so many new people to teach! I've definitely changed a lot in a few weeks cuz I get genuinely excited to knock on someone's door, and I stand there hoping that they answer. I won't lie, the first week, I would feel a flood of relief if someone didn't answer their door😅 so I've come a long way!  I also love visiting p...

Week 69

This week had a lot of highs, and the lowest of lows. So we will start with the highs! We had a mission wide devotional with Neil L Anderson in Knoxville! This is the 3rd and final time on my mission that we have gathered as an entire mission in one Chapel!! There is something really special about being the all the missionaries in the whole mission. But obviously the best part was meeting one of the 12 apostles, getting to shake his hand, and then getting spiritually fed by him for a few hours. I recivied so much revelation (almost to the point where it is overwhelming), so I'm just looking back at little segments of my notes at a time, or else I will not know where to start, so I won't start 😂 so I'm doing one thing at a time. I wish I could summarize all the thought I had into one paragraph, but that would be impossible. But boy was it cool! Before the devotional while we were in Knoxville we went and visited claire!!! She is that cute little Filipino that I taught and b...
