Week 66

Hello everyone!! Happy late Easter! I hope everyone had an amazing Sunday, cuz I sure did!! Holidays on the mission are a little hard (for me at least), but this one was actually pretty good! The church service was amazing and it was PACKED. I felt like I was back in a Utah ward because there were so many people! Here are some reasons it was a great easter:
Some friends we are teaching came to church! Donna who is a somewhat lonely older lady came and wore one of sister chan's dresses and she cried during the service and even sang one of the songs, which was huge. Donna is going through a lot right now, but I think she felt a moment of peace when she was at church.
Afterwards we went to the Gildays (a member that I'm close with ) to have lunch and a little scripture study. Isabel was there and that was fun hehe her and I are crazy. I don't know if I've "introduced" Isabel, but she is 19 and was just baptized in January. She moved here and almost instantly her and I became best friends. She is now planning on moving out to Utah in July (after I get home🤭) and she's currently applying to BYU! So please send a prayer her way that she can get accepted. I love her lots and we have so much fun together.
We went to this big Easter dinner with like 6 families from the ward and it felt like home! It was super fun.
Oh another thing! There is this sweet girl named destiny (she's 25) and she made Easter gift baskets for all the missionaries!! She asked us our favorite drink, snack, and she got us a bunch of stuff. She is literally the sweetest. She is very new to the church, she was baptized just in February and she said that she felt bad for the missionaries that have to be away from their families and don't get Easter baskets, so she made us all one! Ahh it was the sweetest. We are treated too good.
There was also a ward Easter dinner on Friday and Samantha (that we are teaching) brought 4 of her non member friends and one of the couples said that they love the way this group of people feels and they want to join the church!! So we are going to go over this week and teach them the doctrine, so please pray that it goes well! There names are Elda and Chris.
This is totally irrelevant, but I was freaking out for about 10 straight minutes on Thursday.. Subaru finally released..... 2024 WILDERNESS EDITION CROSSTREK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Folks, I've been waiting for so long for then to make these. They've been making wilderness edition outbacks and foresters for a while, and I've been waiting for the day they started doing crosstreks in wilderness, and it had FINALLY CAME! Anyways, hehe that's that. Give it a look:)
Overall, it was a really good week! The time is flying and I can't believe another week is already done.

Week 74

Alrighty, here I am again. This was MIRACLE filled week. It had its ups and downs, but I'm going to focus on the ups! So first of all, the big miracle is James!!! This has got to be the most prepared person I have ever met on my entire mission! Not an exaggeration! I can't remember exactly what I've said about him in the past, so here's a little summary. We were walking around a neighborhood last Sunday after church and we decided to knock his door. He was really nice, so we came back on Tuesday to do a Bible study. Then we lost contact with him for the rest of the week. BUT he showed up to church on Sunday!!! We were so shocked!! Then he came to church AGAIN and he had read all the way up to Jacob, and he knew everything about the saints leaving to Utah, their history, everything about Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, and a bunch of other random facts! He said he knew Joseph Smith was called of God and he never wanted to stop coming to our church because he said it feels ...

WEEK 6: Crossville, TN

This week flew by, which I guess is a good thing! To jump right into things, we are teaching quite a few people right now, and I can see 3 of them being baptized by the end of this transfer. I've been praying so hard about it, because I have developed such a strong love for them individually and I want them to progress and be baptized soooo badly. It's funny cuz you don't realize how much you love and cherish the gospel until you start teaching it to someone who doesn't know it. I really hope to see a baptism before the transfer ends because I care about these people so much.  Sister Jones and I have been working hard and we have found so many new people to teach! I've definitely changed a lot in a few weeks cuz I get genuinely excited to knock on someone's door, and I stand there hoping that they answer. I won't lie, the first week, I would feel a flood of relief if someone didn't answer their door😅 so I've come a long way!  I also love visiting p...

Week 69

This week had a lot of highs, and the lowest of lows. So we will start with the highs! We had a mission wide devotional with Neil L Anderson in Knoxville! This is the 3rd and final time on my mission that we have gathered as an entire mission in one Chapel!! There is something really special about being the all the missionaries in the whole mission. But obviously the best part was meeting one of the 12 apostles, getting to shake his hand, and then getting spiritually fed by him for a few hours. I recivied so much revelation (almost to the point where it is overwhelming), so I'm just looking back at little segments of my notes at a time, or else I will not know where to start, so I won't start 😂 so I'm doing one thing at a time. I wish I could summarize all the thought I had into one paragraph, but that would be impossible. But boy was it cool! Before the devotional while we were in Knoxville we went and visited claire!!! She is that cute little Filipino that I taught and b...
