Week 51

MERRY CHRISTMAS YALL!!😄☃️❤️🎅🎄✨ I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas! My Christmas was good, but it kinda felt like a regular day, it definitely didn't feel like the Christmas I'm used to cuz there was no snow! But I still had an enjoyable week! As yall know, this is sister booth's (my companion) last few days as a missionary so we are trying to soak everything in. We all wore purple to district council cuz it is her favorite color:) we also all brought our tech decks (the mini skateboards) haha our district is trying to get the whole mission to get them. I bought one and Elder karren gave it to President Graham 😂 Highlights of this week: Transfer calls!! I will be staying in Hixson once again! I got here in August, and I won't be leaving until February... I am happy to be staying with the Hixson ward, but I'm desperately needing a change because time is starting to move in slow motion. So I'm going to try reading the book of mormon just for s...

Week 50

This week was awesome!! So many unexpected things happened, but I enjoyed every second of it! This week I had 5 companions 😆 sister booth, sister walker, sister palmer, sister Merritt, and sister seegrist! We went on exchanges with the Sister APs on Wednesday and that was honestly soooo stressful, but I survived! Sister booth and I both stayed in hixson, so that means we had to double plan the day. It was a lot, but there were lots of Miracles that happened because of it! There was one family that we went to who are" do not contacts" but we went over anyways and the lady let us right in and we started talking and she said that I'm welcome to come with them to nursing homes and Play The Cello with them! She plays the cello with her son and they have many very nice cellos! Hopefully I get to do that because it sounds so fun! On Wednesday I went on an exchange with sister Palmer. It was fun and there was a lot of learning and a lot of teaching! I love exchanges but they can...

Week 48 & 49

So sorry for missing last week! I was sicker than sick, so I slept all day and didn't have the time or energy to write a weekly... So it'll be double this time! Week 48: Sister Booth and I have been trying really hard to find new people to teach because we are kinda in a drought.. So we've been doing a lot of walking around and knocking doors, without too much luck yet. I am really motivated to find people, but it gets a little discouraging when you work for hours and hours a day and don't see any fruit from it. I'm hoping it will pick up soon because I know there are people here who are ready to hear the gospel!  On Thursday we went on exchanges (cuz we are the STLs now) and I got to spend the day with Sister Griffiths! We went to high school together and we are in the same stake! So that was super fun. We have very similar personalities so it was so fun to talk and have the day as comps:) on our exchange we taught this old lady named Linda in her bed and it was so...

Week 47

I loved this week! I'm in love with the Hixson ward and I have the best companion in the world. I'm being spoiled spiritually and my mind is clearer that it has ever been. There wasn't anything huge that happened this week to make it a good one, but I was just happy everyday and I am genuinely enjoying the work!  Highlights: Thanksgiving! We spent it with the district and we had dinner with the Harringtons. Spending time with the district revived me haha, we played lots of card games and ate a big lunch. Our district is really united and we are all pretty close which is refreshing.  The elders found a drowned mouse in the kitchen sink at the church and put it on the hood of our car under a bowl.. It scared me so bad and it was nasty. Sometimes I forget that elders are just 18year old boys haha.  I had a ton of meetings this week and it was pretty stressful, but I'm getting the hang of it slowly but surely. Because of these meeting going late, I have missed o...

Week 46

Transfersss!!! My new companion is Sister Booth, and let me tell ya... This transfer is going to be 🔥FIRE🥳. STL stuff is a little interesting, but I like it so far! Our meeting went till 11:45 the other night, so I'm gonna be so tired this transfer😂 but the blessings are worth it!! Sister Booth is so smart and experienced, I am excited to learn from her. She also has the best sense of humor which makes the work so much more fun. President Graham spoiled me by letting her be my companion. My last few days of the transfer (monday-wednesday) were a little odd and were definitely not the greatest. The vibes were off and I didn't have the spirit with me, so that was hard. But now things are GREAT and I am already seeing miracles 5 days into the new transfer!  Oh and at transfers, I got to see Elder Williams again😁😁 I love that man with everything in me. I'll attach some selfies:) I'm officially not in the same district as sister garbett for the first time s...

Week 45

Wow it got cold this week. I forgot how brutal cold humidity is and it only got down to 50😂  First off, we had transfer calls!! I will be staying in Hixson (for the 3rd time!) and I'm an STL now too!! I'm so excited about everything! My new companion is named Sister Booth and this will be her last transfer. I haven't met her yet, but I will on Wednesday when we have transfers. I'm so excited!!! I'm excited to go on exchanges with other sisters every week!  Sad news.... I won't be with sister garbett anymore...😭😔🥺😥😫😓 This will be the first time since April that I won't be serving with her.... I don't even remember what it's like to be a missionary without her, but it sure sounds a lot less exciting, so I really hope I can quickly bond with the new missionaries. Of our entire district, only elder bluemel and I are staying. And out of the 4 sisters missionaries in the Hixson ward, I'm the only one staying😭. We are getting elders to replace s...

Week 44

Heyyo! We have 3 people on date to be baptized! I have had a baptism in over a transfer, so this is pretty exciting! Here's a little run down of our current friends: Wilow! She is so awesome and I have grown to love her. Each time we come to visit with her and her family it starts off really quiet, but by the time we leave they are all so talkative and laughing, it's hard to leave! Katelyn! We have been visiting Katelyn every single Sunday and we have built a really good relationship with her:) she doesn't leave the house much and she said that we are her only friends and she always looks forward to our Sunday visits:) she also said that she wants us to stay in contact after our missions. She has been through a lot in the past few years, and it's cool to just listen to her experiences and stories. I also finally got a selfie with her after 3 months of meeting with her haha. She's the gal with the red hair. I'm gonna miss Katelyn when I leave this area.  ...
